Day 1 : We head from Cape Town via the N1 to Worcester : an open air museum (Klein Plasie - Little Farm ) welcomes us to yesteryear : We get to see how the pioneers and locals lived here in the Western Cape over the last 300 years. Candle-making , tobacco-rolling and bread baking is demonstrated - the traditional “mampoer” ( local distilled liquor ) tasting ends off the tour here. Continuing on the world’s longest wine route - the R62 - we get to savor local produce: fresh breads and jams , wine , olives - on our way to Skeiding : an award winning Guest farm a few Kilometers from Barrydale. Dinner , next to the fire place , either in- or outside , is a feast :most of what is served being produced right there on the farm ! Accommodation : Skeiding Guest Farm , 4 star.

Day 2 : After a scrumptious breakfast we continue along the R62 to Oudtshoorn. A visit to the Cango Caves to explore the natural wonders underground is followed by marveling a some of nature’s most intriguing creatures on it’s surface : Lions , Tigers , Cheetahs , Crocodiles , Black Mamba snakes and Pygmy Hippopotami to mention but a few! We end the day’s touring with a visit to the world’s largest birds thankfully , flightless : an Ostrich farm ! Dinner is either enjoyed at the farm or a bit later in town. Accommodation : Villa Morne , 4 star Guest House.

Day 3 : Heading over the Outeniqua Mountains we drive to the town of George : A steam engine trip ( schedule subject to change ) to Victoria Bay is followed by a cruise on the Knysna Lagoon ( actually an estuary ) taking us to Featherbed Nature Reserve .A guided hike through the local forest and along the coast brings us to lunch under a natural canopy of Milkwood trees. The Knysna seahorse , Knysna Loerie (turacan) and Bluebuck are on display here . A Champagne sunset cruise brings us back to Knysna for the night. Accommodation : Pumula Lodge 4 star Lodge.

Day 4 : Eastward , continuing our journey we go to Plettenberg Bay : Whale- and/ or Dolphin watching is on the cards here , depending on the season .Via Nature’s Valley and Blou Krantz Bridge ( world’s highest commercial bungee jump ) we enter Tsitsikama National Park offering us the chance of a forest hike ending at a suspension bridge over the Storms River Mouth !
